In 1986, Paul hired Phil Ramone as a new producer and began work on a new album, the follow-up to Press to Play. However, even though many songs had been recorded and the song order for the album had been decided, musical differences between Paul and Ramone arose midway through, and the album was ultimately shelved without being completed.
