A striking 5 cm dia vintage Austrian silver brooch in 800-grade silver, featuring an ornate pierced foliate and shell design in the Rococo revival style. Weighs 9 g with secure clasp. No dents or damage in wonderful condition for its age. The reverse is stamped “800” alongside the Austrian shield-shaped silver fineness mark, used for continental export silver in the early–mid 20th century. Well-made, substantial, and very decorative — a beautiful example of continental silver craftsmanship. Supplied in a jewellery pouch.
