Vintage Dollshouse Miniature Sewing Machine In Table, By Sunlite, Drawers Open, Boxed c60s

Lovely little vintage plastic sewing machine, drophead style, made by Sunlite, in its original box, which is a delight in itself! Selling as a display or collectable as not tested for modern safety standards. I would have loved this toy as a child! Bright colours and lots of play value! It looks like an ordinary table, with a couple of real drawers to pull out, but if you lift the flap on the top, it reveals a little sewing machine, on its side. The flap can be laid down and forms a flat surface to support whatever fabric is about to be sewn! You can lift the sewing machine to an upright position by gently pushing it from below with your finger. There is a knack to this - you just have to take it slow and steady! There is a treadle/footrest under the table that moves. The little blue handwheel, which operates the needle bar can be turned round and the red needle bar moves up and down! *Please note* - there is a tiny chip off one of the red corners of the table top (please see last photo). Apart from that, it is in very good condition, and unusual to find it in the original box, which is in good used vintage condition with signs of wear and tear. Marked 'Empire Made' on the red panel of the table. Dates to around the 1960s. The box has lots of information and fab graphics on it, as seen in photos. It has Empire Made and some lightly pencilled numbers, including the original price of 1/6! Not sure of scale, but it is approx. 1.25 inches tall, with tabletop down - please contact me if you would like more accurate measurements.
