A respected bespoke tailor whose shop once stood at 6 Wellgate in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Mallinson was producing fine menswear as early as the mid-1970s - one of his jackets from 1975 is held in the Victoria & Albert Museum’s fashion collection. His work was known locally for meticulous hand finishing, quality British fabrics, and a timeless, elegant cut. The Wellgate premises served Rotherham’s stylish clientele for decades and remained a go-to destination for custom tailoring until the early 2010s, when the building was sold and the shop closed. Owning a Mallinson garment means owning a piece of South Yorkshire tailoring history.
